Meghan Markle The Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry on May 10, 2024, arrived in Nigeria for a 3-day visit there. That was reported by some media. It is the first visit to the country for both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

According to the reports, the popular couple began their visit in the capital Abuja from where they will proceed to the megacity of Lagos. They will calminate their visit in the city of Kaduna. The visit said to be a private invitation by Nigeria's ministry of defence, entails, among others, promotion of the duo's global organization called Invictus Games.

Probably it is interesting to mention that genetically Meghan Markle is 43% Nigerian, according to a revelation made by herself some years ago. The first visit to Nigeria could therefore be of great symbolic significance to her.
