Coco Gauff Advances To Quarterfinals At French Open 2024

Coco Gauff advanced to the quarterfinals at French Open 2024 after decisively defeating Elisabetta Coccaretta in a fourth round match on June 2, 2024. She won the match in straight sets spanning only 60 minutes, 6-1, 6-2.

In the quarterfinals, the outstanding US Open champion will tackle Ons Jabeur, on June 4, 2024.

Coco Gauff and Ons Jabeur have had a duel at the French Open tennis tournament before. In 2021 they battled against each other in a fourth round match there, of which Coco Gauff won 6-3, 6-1.

Ons Jabeur may therefore be contemplating a revenge on this occasion. However, that may not be an easy task though. That is because Coco Gauff at the French Open 2024, so far, has been absolutely merciless towards her opponents, defeating all of them in straight sets in matches that sometimes lasted just about an hour! Her determination seems to be crystal clear, to take home to America the French Open Grand Slam trophy this time!
