Amber Heard has lost a defamation case filed against her by her former husband Johnny Depp. That follows a ruling by a court in Fairfax, Virginia, USA, on June 1, 2022, in favor of Johnny Depp. The court also awarded Johnny Depp $15 million in damages.
Johnny Depp sued his former wife Amber Heard for $50 million after the latter narrated in an article in Washington Post that she suffered domestic abuse during their marriage. The defamation trial that took six weeks made headlines worldwide.
